What We Do

The Fricke Episcopal Community Ministry is a non-profit organization designed to help anyone in the greater Omaha area when they are in need. At present, we are concentrating on helping schools provide materials to the students that they are not able to provide, mostly hygiene supplies such as shampoo, soap, deodorant, and feminine hygiene products.

Our process begins with our board members contacting school staff members, like counselors, nurses, and social workers, to determine what needs they and their students may face. Progress and school needs are discussed at our monthly board meetings, and then our board members acquire the needed items and transport them to the schools for distribution.

Formerly known as the Fricke Episcopal Food Ministry, we turned the corner in 2022 and found a new ministry model that better suits our talents and capacity while meeting unmet needs in our community. All photos on this page are from 2021 or earlier, and showcase our history of providing food to the hungry. New photos will be added when available.

Interesting Info
  • The new Community Ministry made its first trial donation in early September 2022 to Ralston Public Schools. It was highly appreciated!
  • Our board members are encouraged to identify and develop relationships with new schools and school districts to receive donations.
