On June 14, 2025, we will celebrate our fifth anniversary. Join us in our 5 for 5 Juneteenth Giving Campaign. We invite you to donate to Freedomtainment and the Omaha Freedom Festival in $5 denominations ($5, $50, $500, or any amount) to help us put on our best event yet in 2025. 

We bring awareness to African American culture through education, empowerment, and entertainment activities, showcasing the North Omaha, Nebraska community, its rich history, and present-day attributes. Our goal expand access to local, social, and business resources. We present the Omaha Freedom Festival, a Celebration of Juneteenth. The purpose of the Omaha Freedom Festival is to create an all-day companion celebration event on the Juneteenth national holiday weekend. Our most recent Omaha Freedom Festival was on June 17, 2024,  attracted more than 10,000 attendees, and was featured as a top 10 Juneteenth Celebration by Houstons's CW39 news outlet. The Omaha Freedom Festival was created to expand the existing morning Juneteenth Parade which has been taking place annually in North Omaha for several decades from 10 am - noon. Several thousand people attend the parade each year. There are no other activities offered in the area to engage the community when the parade is over. The Omaha Freedom Festival provides free daytime family-friendly activities (education, access to community resource partners) and a live evening concert with a minimal cost for cultural and historical celebration in addition to education, entertainment, and exposure to resources from noon to midnight.
