Formerly known as FAMILY, Inc., our organization has transformed remarkably and now shines brightly as Firefly. While providing the same exceptional programs and services, Firefly adds a touch of magic to the community we serve. This rebranding symbolizes a deeper evolution, reflecting a renewed sense of purpose and vitality. 

Like fireflies gathering in the night, we embrace the notion of an inherent light within each individual, one that shines brighter when supported by the collective glow of fellow fireflies. With this shared illumination, Firefly continues its mission of empowering families and communities, guiding them toward brighter futures, and illuminating pathways of opportunity for all who join in our luminous journey.

Providing public health and family support services to women, children and families in Western Iowa. It is Firefly's primary goal to assist parents in becoming their child’s first and most influential teacher through education, empowerment, and wellness. With offices located in Council Bluffs and Walnut, Iowa the agency serves both urban and rural communities. These services are administered in homes, shelters, and community settings. Through its various programs, Firefly works to ensure families have access to the services and support they need to allow their children to enter school healthy, safe and ready to learn.
