Assist the Public Health Department!
- 1st Five provider folders- Volunteers assist in providing information to providers about the 1st Five Program. 1st Five is a public-private partnership bridging primary care and public health services in Iowa. The 1st Five model supports health providers in the earlier detection of social-emotional and developmental delays and family risk-related factors in children birth to 5 and coordinates referrals, interventions and follow-up. This is done through an enhanced, short-term care coordination model, connecting families to resources in their community. The goal is for all Iowa children to grow to be happy, healthy, and safe.
- Maternal Health toothbrush bags- Help fill bags with toothbrushes, information and resources
- Care for Kids mailing stuffing- Volunteers will fold documents (using a folding machine) and stuff envelopes for monthly mailings. The mailings provide information on resources available to Medicaid-eligible families in the community.
