The National Exchange Club adopted the prevention of child abuse as its national project in 1979. Exchange Club of Omaha Foundation sponsors the yearly Tee Off Against Child Abuse (TOACA) charity golf classic to raise funds for the prevention of child abuse. Funds raised are given away as grants to other non-profits with programs focused on the prevention of child abuse. Exchange Club sponsors a range of activities to benefit, award, and develop our nation’s youth; promote crime prevention, serve senior citizens; recognize military and public safety service providers; and encourage good American citizenship.
Nonprofit organizations that have benefitted from the TOACA grants include Project Harmony, RESPECT, Visiting Nurse Association, Girls Inc, Girls Scouts of America, Scatter Joy Acres, Biker's Against Child Abuse, and Heartland Family Service, to name a few.
- We have supported 30 different non-profits through grants for the prevention of child abuse.
- We have given away $466,000 since 1989 to other non-profits with programs for the prevention of child abuse.
- Our goal is to drastically reduce child abuse in our community.
