What We Do
The Douglas County Historical Society preserves and enlivens historical insight in Douglas County, Nebraska. We share history through classes, programs, events, the 140-year old General Crook House Museum and our Library Archives Center. As the official caretaker of history for Douglas County, we preserve vital records and help people from all over the world learn about their ancestors from Omaha and Douglas County.
