What We Do

City Sprouts increases access to fresh local produce in our community, educates all ages about gardening and sustainability, provides employment opportunities and skills to underserved youth, and builds community through gardening.

COVID-19 UPDATE
As with most organizations, this pandemic has changed a lot for us. Our main concern right now is around the potential for increased food insecurity in Omaha as a result of the crisis.

To make Omaha more food secure, our team is growing over 15,000lbs of produce annually. The majority of this food will be donated to the community through local food pantries, free farm stands, and CSA programs in order to help anyone who is food insecure gain access to healthy and local produce.

Interesting Info

City Sprouts produces more than 15,000 pounds of food and our hens produce about 1,200 eggs per year.
City Sprouts educates more than 2,000 people per year.
City Sprouts interns work more than 3,500 hours combined each summer, learning to grow food and run an urban farm, and be engaged workers and community members.
