Cantare! is an acapella vocal ensemble, founded by Director Laura Petry in 2021. Our mission is to provide quality Early Music concerts, both public and private, for citizens of the Greater Omaha, and Council Bluffs areas. We focus on serving those who cannot attend public concerts, including Assisted Living facilities, Nursing Homes and Veterans Homes. We invite you to inquire how we may serve a community with which you are connected!
Our vision is to use our music to enhance the lives of ever-increasing numbers of citizens for the betterment of local communities. We firmly believe that music brings joy to all people and can reach their innermost being, calming the soul and alleviating depression and feelings of loneliness. Early Music especially has a unique effect on the listener and can create a sense of feeling centered or grounded. We are also available for public concerts at churches and other public venues as well.
- Cantare! includes Omaha area professional and semiprofessional singers who love to bring music to people in their homes, churches, gathering spaces
- In October 2024 we had our first youth engagement project with singers at Omaha North High School and we all had so much fun singing together!
- Each year we sing for at least 1000 people during the holidays and again in the spring, meeting them where they live, sharing laughter, music and fellowship.
