Benson Theatre was founded in 2012 to renovate the historic Benalto Theatre at 6054 Maple Street in Omaha. Our mission is to engage, enhance and enrich the community through educational and artistic experiences. Built in 1923 as a vaudeville theater, 6054 Maple Street has been beautifully restored, renovated and opened to public.
We host stage plays, musical concerts, film events, workshops, seminars, networking events, forums, fundraisers, creative performances, receptions, private events and more. We are currently in a campaign to raise funds for our internal programming, and we are also building out a community fund to help underserved individuals and groups utilize the space for their artistic and educational endeavors.
