What We Do

The Bennington Public Schools Foundation is Bennington Public Schools’ fundraising partner. Founded as a non-profit corporation on December 29, 1992, the Foundation was initiated under the leadership of the Bennington Public School District’s Board of Education in 1992.

Our mission is to promote excellence in education for ALL students by providing resources to inspire learning, enrich teaching and maximize opportunities.

With a vision to bridge financial and resource gaps so that all students are supported and connected to educational opportunities.

We achieve this mission through three key areas of support:

  • BlueNited Student Success Programs: Helps ensure students’ basic needs are met to succeed while maximizing educational opportunities beyond the District’s budget to encourage students to reach their full potential. Includes programs like Student Needs Fund, Lunch Balance Payoff, TeamMates Mentoring, Classroom Grants, Study Centers, AP Test Reimbursment, and more.
  • Blue Nation Staff Success Programs: Supports our educators and staff which is critical to District growth and effectiveness, to in turn directly impact our students. Covers teacher tuition reimbursement, national conference professional development, staff recognition and appreciation and more.
  • Beyond Blue Future Success Program: Serving our students beyond graduation is a staple to their successful future. These programs ensure students have equitable access to higher education and career opportunities and maintain ties to the Bennington community for a lasting impact beyond graduation. Includes senior scholarships, alumni association, Forever BPS legacy giving initiative and more.
