What We Do
Bemis Center facilitates the creation, presentation, and understanding of contemporary art through an international residency program, exhibitions, and educational programs. Our vision is to inspire an open and diverse dialogue on the critical issues that give shape and meaning to the human condition. As an artist-centric nonprofit, we honor and respect the critical role artists play in our society. We value creativity, trust, courage, diversity, tolerance, and the open exchange of ideas and world views.
Interesting Info
Bemis Center is Nebraska’s first and only institution strictly focused on the production and presentation of contemporary art on an international scale.
More than 1,500 artists from around the world have participated in Bemis's Residency Program, exhibited at Bemis, or performed at LOW END.
Bemis plays a visionary role in keeping Omaha flourishing with a constant infusion of new artists and ideas into our city.
