What We Do

For over 50 years in Nebraska, the ACLU has worked in courts, legislatures, and communities to protect the constitutional and individual rights of all people. Beyond one person, party, or side - we the people dare to create a more perfect union.

The ACLU also works to extend rights to segments of our population that have traditionally been denied their rights, including people of color, women, members of the LGBTQ+ community, system-impacted Nebraskans, and people experiencing disabilities.

Interesting Info

ACLU of Nebraska is home to the state's only full-time attorney solely dedicated to LGBTQIA+ rights
With our friends at Immigrant Legal Center and Lincoln Commission on Human Rights, we launched a protest rights guide for Nebraskans who are immigrants
We've sent an early vote application to all voters in Omaha who have not already received one in advance of the upcoming city election
