What We Do

The Highlander Neighborhood is a community filled with promise amidst a history of
vulnerability and resilience. The 2009 demolition of Pleasantview Homes – a 300-unit
public housing project in the Highlander neighborhood – opened up 23 acres of
contiguous land less than a mile from downtown Omaha and its emerging midtown
area. Seventy Five North is driven by a commitment to the investment in not just the "place" of Highlander- but rather, its people.

Seventy Five North's mission is grounded in facilitating the revitalization of a healthy, sustainable, mixed-income community in the Highlander neighborhood. Since 2011, the organization has partnered with local and national organizations to provide a variety of infrastructure, amenities, and services to support the wellbeing of Highlander residents. Seventy Five North ensures authentic and sustainable neighborhood transformation with an education system that fully prepares children, affordable housing, thriving
communities with economic diversity, and high-quality and innovative programming
focusing on entrepreneurship, technology, art, and music.
