Together was founded in 1975 to provide relief after a devastating tornado hit the Omaha area, and we continue to serve those experiencing food insecurity, poverty, and homelessness in our community.
Together's mission is to prevent and end hunger and homelessness. We envision a community of prosperity where everyone experiences safe, affordable housing, food security, health and wellness. This is accomplished through our programs which include: Nourish which healthy and nutritious food to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.
Horizons works with individuals and families experiencing chronic homelessness to support their journey to self sufficiency.
Short Term Emergency Housing Program utilizes a renovated hotel for temporary housing, primarily for seniors with medical needs, as they transition to stable housing.
Crisis Engagement aims to help low-income households resolve crisis that would otherwise lead to a loss of housing. Services through this program area accessible to all persons experiencing homelessness or at imminent risk of homelessness.
Advocacy and Policy targets systemic barriers to housing, income, and food security to bridging the gap between our neighbors and the capital.

- To date, 11,759 unique individuals received 1,138,114 nutritious meals through our Choice Food Pantry and SNAP outreach
- Through September, our Horizons Program touched the lives of 56 people leading to 78% finding permanent housing and 0% have returned to homelessness.
- To date, 478 people came to us with a housing crisis, 435 were able to retain or attain housing.
