Young History Detectives Summer Camp

We have an exciting week of fun with history and technology planned for the YHD crew this summer! Activities include:
• YHD North Omaha History Project
• Digital Textile Project
• Digital Photography
• Streaming/Podcasting 101
• VR Activities
• Board Games (of course)
• Zine Making

We also have field trips planned to conduct research and meet with community leaders. Experiences include:
Omaha Public Library
• Charles B. Washington Branch
• W. Dale Clark Main Library
• Durham Museum
• Great Plains Black History Museum
• Omaha Star
• Culxr House
• Webberized Podcast Studio

The goal of the 2021 YHD Summer Camp is to create an interactive walkthrough history that can be accessed throughout the community and develop: critical thinking, problem-solving, cultural enrichment, research & documentation skills.
