Boys Town

Education can change lives. Boys Town has ​recognized this truth for more than a century with their continuing commitment to quality education for all children.  At Boys Town, they teach beyond the material in textbooks. They teach life skills, social skills, accountability, appropriate behavior and study skills.

Their goal is to​ provide kids ​with the best ​​education possible so they can move forward and lead productive lives. Today, 80% of the children that arrive at Boys T​own have significant academic deficiencies and/or behavioral challenges. Many test two or more years academically behind on their grade level. Boys Town students typically improve their academic test scores two years for every year. 97% will graduate high school to continue their education or pursue a trade after leaving Boys Town.

Femi's Heart Foundation

At Femi's Heart Foundation, the supplies obtained for back-to-school purposes will play a crucial role in supporting African immigrant families, refugee children, and disadvantaged youth within our community, particularly those associated with the ROC (Recreation Outreach Center) and AIFS. The foundation will collaborate with the ROC to identify disadvantaged youth in need of support. By providing them with necessary school supplies and resources, they aim to foster a sense of belonging and empowerment within the community, helping these youth realize their potential and pursue their educational goals.

Distribution will be held on Saturday, August 3rd from 4-6 pm at 3706 S 132nd St, Omaha, NE, 68144.

 Several OHB teens and young adults will be attending high school and college this fall and they’re holding a Back to School Supply Drive in their honor! Your support of the Back to School Supply Drive will help OHB students set foot on campus and in the classroom with all of the tools they need to be successful and feel confident. Your support also helps provide enrichment activities for youth in OHB programs. Many OHB youth and families live paycheck to paycheck, which means buying school supplies puts a significant monetary strain on them. Youth Emergency Services

 Items collected will be given to youth that come to the Drop In Center needing school supplies. Approximately 1200 youth in Omaha metro area school districts self-identified as homeless in the 21-22 school year. YES hopes to help some of these youth get the school supplies they need to have a successful school year.
