Healthy Kids Day is Sunday, April 28 and we need your help as we welcome thousands for a free community event in Stinson Park (Aksarben) focused on the health and safety of our youth. 

REGISTER HERE TO VOLUNTEER FOR HEALTHY KIDS DAY BY WEDNESDAY, MARCH 27! 

WARNING: Symptoms of a FREE Shirt reported. Volunteers for Healthy Kids Day may experience a sense of happiness and community engagement!  

With everything from vision screenings and emergency vehicles to helmet fittings, safety mascots, and mini fitness demos, Healthy Kids Day is an exciting annual effort put on by the YMCA of Greater Omaha in collaboration with National Safety Council – Nebraska Chapter and Children’s Nebraska, volunteers, generous sponsors, and other health and safety partners. 

See attached flier for more information. Volunteer opportunities include: 

• Bag Stuffing: Stuff 750 welcome bags filled with safety information, a water bottle, and coloring pages. You will also get a free volunteer shirt. 
• Day-of-Event: Keep things moving and kids safe as they explore obstacle courses, get fitted for helmets, and learn safety tips and fun ways to stay active. Sign up for 9:30am – 12:15pm, 11:45am to 3pm or both shifts. Pizza and volunteer shirt will be provided for day-of-event volunteers.
