Volunteer Event Coordinator- Hybrid (On-site/Off-site, In-Person/Virtual)

Join us as a Volunteer Event Coordinator at Town & Country! This hybrid role allows you to organize events both in-person, and online, making it easier for people to support our shelter. You'll help plan fun activities and spread the word about our work, ensuring everyone can get involved. As a pivotal member of our volunteer team, you'll be instrumental in planning and executing a wide range of events from on-site in person events, to off-site to virtual events and so much more!  All of your efforts will support our shelter's mission of animal welfare.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Planning Events: Help organize events like adoption drives, fundraisers, and workshops, both at the shelter and in other locations.
  2. Finding Places: Look for places where we can hold events, like parks or community centers, and make sure everything is set up and ready to go.
  3. Virtual Fun: Think of creative ways to host events online, like showing off pets available for adoption or hosting live chats with experts.
  4. Getting Help: Recruit and train volunteers to assist with events, whether it's setting up tables or helping people online.
  5. Spreading the Word: Use social media and other tools to let people know about our events and encourage them to join in.
  6. Making it Memorable: Plan activities that people will enjoy, like pet meet-and-greets or fun games, to make our events special.
  7. Building Relationships: Talk to local businesses and groups to get their support for our events and build connections in the community.
  8. Making it Happen: Take charge of making sure events run smoothly, from setting up to cleaning up afterward.
  9. Improving as We Go: After each event, see what worked well and what we can do better next time to make our events even more awesome.

Qualifications:

  • You care about animals and want to help them find loving homes.
  • You're organized and can keep track of lots of details.
  • You're friendly and good at talking to people, both in person and online.
  • You're creative and can think of fun ideas for events.
  • You're comfortable using computers and social media.

Benefits:

  • Help animals in need by making our events successful and fun.
  • Learn new skills in event planning and online engagement.
  • Work with a friendly team of staff and volunteers who share your love for animals.
  • Volunteer when it works for you, whether it's at the shelter, out in the community, or from home.
  • Feel good knowing you're making a real difference for animals and the people who care about them.

Join us as a Volunteer Event Coordinator and help make our events a success, from all levels, whether they're on-site or off-site to in-person, or online! You will play a vital role in helping us provide love, care and second chances for animals in our community!  Apply now to start making a difference today.
