Volunteer Coordinator
Omaha AVP is an entirely  volunteer-led nonprofit.  All program, outreach and administrative activities are performed by volunteers.  Volunteer recruitment, training and turnover is an ongoing process.

  • Track availability and assignment of volunteers to the many Omaha AVP events and activities
  • Assist with new  volunteer training and continued education
  • Monitor Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) volunteer security applications and annual renewals 
  • Communicate regularly with volunteers about upcoming AVP events 
  • Coordinate required volunteer involvement for workshops, field trips and Community Correction Center - Omaha (in-prison) activity 
  • Contribute to agendas for and participate in monthly facilitators meetings
  • Record and distribute post meeting notes/minutes as needed
  • Support work of Director for Community Outreach and President
