Thrift Store Retail Volunteer

Purpose: To assist management team in day to day activities in running retail thrift store providing clients with needed merchandise and in support of the SVdP mission.

Essential Duties and Roles

Receiving Dock. Responds to Customer needs at the dock and assists customers with lifting donated or purchased items (up to 50 pounds). Assists drivers with unloading large and heavy items.

Stocking. Assists with pricing per directions. Distributes items to the retail floor for display and pricing.

Housekeeping. Organizes merchandise for sale on shelves. Light dusting and sweeping. Maintains cleanliness and tidiness of the store.

Locations

Downtown. 2101 Leavenworth St. (M-Sat 9am-6pm)

Papillion. 807 Tara Plaza, (M-Sat 9am-6pm)

Northwest. 5505 No. 90th, (M-Sat 9am to 8pm, Sunday 12-5pm)

West Center 12301 West Center Road, Westwood Plaza (M-Sat 9am-8pm, Sun 12 to 5pm)

Shifts: Varies by stores, preference to weekly commitment

Requirements: Good communication skills. Ability to stand, bend, lift, climb and carry up to 30 pounds. Must be 14 years old (working with an adult suggested). Compliance to health guidelines e.g. masks, social distancing etc. and respectful workplace policies.
