Make Thanksgiving Warm for Seniors in Our Community!

We are seeking compassionate volunteer delivery drivers to transport holiday feasts to our older neighbors in need this Thanksgiving. Join us in spreading joy and ensuring that seniors in our community enjoy a festive meal!

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver holiday meals to seniors on designated routes.
• Check in at the Kroc Center and come inside to pick up the meals.
• Work with onsite volunteers during check-in and loading.
• Transport meals safely, ensuring they remain stationary during transit.

Requirements:

• Must be age 18 or older to drive.
• Younger helpers are welcome to accompany you in the car.
• Proof of insurance must be presented at check-in.
• Sign-up is specific to the driver; you do not need to register additional passengers.

Logistics:

• Starting Location: The Salvation Army's Kroc Center, 2825 Y St, Omaha, NE.
• Upon check-in, you will be guided inside to stations for Safe From Harm, Route Section, and Meal Pick up where you  take meals to your vehicle.
• The number of stops on either the north or south route will depend on the number of registrations. Approximately 10 -15 meals per route.
• We recommend bringing a basket, box, or other container to keep meals secure during transport.
