Volunteer Opportunity:
Holiday Notes of Encouragement: Uplift Seniors
I'm Interested!

Since 1991, the Salvation Army's Turkeyfest program has continued to provide Thanksgiving meals to over 1,000 home-bound seniors every year.

We want to wrap these seniors in more holiday warmth this year by adding an uplifting message with their meal.

We would love for you to create holiday cards, children's artwork, and positive quotes for these seniors to read and enjoy with their turkey. Your heartfelt messages can help minimize isolation and remind them of the joy of the season.

This is a volunteer opportunity that can be done anywhere at any time. Any age is welcome to participate.

Guidance for your notes:

-Letters, cards, and children's drawings should be full of hope, positivity, and well wishes.

-No food or gifts should be included with the note.

-Notes should be brought to or mailed to:

The Salvation Army Kroc Center 2825 Y St. Omaha, NE 68107  (Attn: Randy Thomas "Turkeyfest Notes")
