Alternatives to Violence Project - Omaha

Omaha AVP is a wholly volunteer-led nonprofit.  Volunteers work together in supporting AVP's various initiatives.    Some volunteers select one area in which to volunteers, others combine several depending upon their passions and time available. 

Promotions and Outreach Volunteer 

• Expands Omaha AVP presence in and communications with the Omaha community and beyond.  
• Coordinate social media presence on multiple platforms
• Work with volunteers supporting AVP presence on individual platforms
• Develop posts, videos, etc  that can be shared on all platforms
• Assist in periodic e-newsletter creation and mailing (Mailchimp)
• Create promotional fliers, EventBrite events and similar promotional messages
• Support work of Outreach Coordinator and President
• Participate in monthly Volunteer Meetings
• Much of the work for this volunteer position can be done online from home or other chosen locations.
