Heartland Workforce Solutions is receiving nominations for board membership, specifically for one business representative from the Trucking Industry and one business representative from the IT Industry. Our mission is to promote and develop a workforce system that is responsive to the needs of business and career seekers resulting in economic prosperity. We seek one representative filling one of the following Workforce Organization categories for a three year term. The pool of nominations will go to our nominating committee for section to recommend to Mayor Stothert for appointment. This opportunity is for optimum decision makers. Diverse representation is needed. • Workforce - Community-based Organization with demonstrated experience and expertise in addressing employment, training, or education needs of individuals with barriers to employment, including organizations that serve Veterans or provide or support competitive integrated employment for individuals with disabilities • Workforce - Organization experienced in addressing employment, training, or education needs of eligible youth, including out-of-school youth We also seek multiple Business Representatives, especially in the areas of IT, TDL and Small Business. Again, these opportunities are for optimum decision makers. Diverse representation is priority.
