Volunteer Opportunity: Photographer

Are you passionate about storytelling through photography? Join Femi’s Heart Mission as a Volunteer Photographer and help capture powerful moments that showcase our impact locally in Omaha, internationally in Africa, and soon in Canada. Your photos will be used to highlight our mission, engage our community, and promote future events.

About Us:

Femi’s Heart Mission is dedicated to advocacy, education, and support for underserved communities, particularly those affected by critical health challenges. We host fundraising events, community programs, and international outreach efforts to make a lasting impact.

This opportunity provides real-world experience in nonprofit event photography, making it ideal for professionals, students, or passionate hobbyists looking to build their portfolio while supporting a meaningful cause.

Responsibilities:

• Capture high-quality photos at all Femi’s Heart Mission events, ensuring moments of impact, engagement, and storytelling are well documented.
• Take candid and posed shots of attendees, volunteers, speakers, and key moments.
• Work closely with the Marketing Team to provide images for social media, promotional materials, and event recaps.
• Edit and organize photos for timely distribution after each event.
• Attend quarterly board meetings to share updates and contribute to media strategy discussions.

Commitment & Expectations:

• Time Commitment: Varies based on event schedule; must be present at all events.
• Event Coverage:
  • Capture photos at every local event and be available for international projects if needed.
• Meetings:
  • Attend quarterly board meetings to provide updates on event coverage and marketing initiatives:
    • February 3, 2025
    • May 5, 2025
    • August 4, 2025
    • November 3, 2025
• Editing & Submission: Provide a selection of high-quality images within 3-5 days after each event.
• Collaboration: Work with the Event Director and Marketing Team to align photography with branding needs.

• August 30: Femi’s Heart Blood Drive
• September 12: CPR Classes
• September 14: Gramercy Gala
• November 8: African Mental Health Awareness Workshop
• December 14: FB4Kids Event
