Meals on Wheels volunteers deliver midday meals and a friendly greeting to older adults who are homebound in the Omaha Metro and surrounding areas. We deliver 600 meals per day, Mon-Fri. With so many routes to complete each day, we especially need drivers who can fill-in when needed when regular volunteer and staff drivers are out with illness, vacations or for other reasons. These routes often vary in location. Meals are picked up at a central location and delivered between 11am and 1pm along a pre-determined route directly to the homes of older adults. Volunteers are enrolled through an application and screening process before getting set up with a route.
