Conservation Nebraska

Volunteer Opportunity:
Volunteer at a Rain Garden!

This opportunity has passed.

If you are in need of required volunteer hours or if you're just looking for more ways to enjoy the outdoors, please join Conservation Nebraska in volunteering at Creighton Preparatory School's rain garden, located on Western Ave just west of 72nd Street! Rain gardens are a beautiful and cost effective way of maintaining outdoor spaces that experience high levels of soil saturation or water pooling. Rain gardens help reduce runoff, filter out pollutants, and provide food and shelter for wildlife.

Volunteer tasks will largely consist of pulling small weeds by hand. We have a small supply of gloves and garden tools available, however, we encourage you to bring your favorite trowel or gloves if desired. Water and light snacks will be provided.

In case of inclement weather, this event will be postponed to a later date TBD. Please check our Facebook page @ConservationNebraska for any updates.
