Omaha Symphony

Volunteer Opportunity:
Concerts for Youth
I'm Interested!

"Swing" is many things, it's a distinctive rhythmic feel; a musical era dominated by big band jazz; a style of dance that grew alongside the music; and that elusive but unmistakable feeling that results when musicians are deeply tuned into each other. Through the Link Up repertoire, hands-on activities, and a culminating interactive performance with your Omaha Symphony, together we'll explore the incredible history of Jazz in Omaha.

The innovative traditions of Margre Durhan's Concerts for Youth continue with seamless integration of music and academic curriculum, dazzling visual media, and engaging interactive structures that are adaptable to singing or playing along.

We will need volunteers to help before and after performances. Volunteer duties may include guiding student groups to the venue from the bus, leading student groups to their seating area, assist with line flow, and assist with dismissal process. You will be partnered with Ambassadors, who volunteer year-round With Omaha performing arts and know the ropes of helping with a live performance.
