What We Do

Town and Country Humane Society is an all-volunteer force that rescues from high population kill shelters and removes adoptable animals from death row. We transition those animals to vetted and loving homes, after appropriate medical care has been provided.
Other services we offer: provide community service opportunities to individuals and companies looking for ways to volunteer, as well as those who have been assigned community service by the courts; provide economical boarding and grooming services that offset our costs; provide emergency boarding for pets of displaced persons and for other rescues in need of space; host a food pantry for pet food for people having trouble feeding their pets; provide potential partner animals for service or therapy animals and diabetic alert dogs.

Interesting Info

In 2017, we adopted out 207 dogs. In 2018, we placed 428 dogs and 51 cats in homes.
We transport animals from high-kill shelters in TX, KS, MO, OK, IA and NE and re-home them.
Our goal is to re-home 500+ animals this year, and grow every year.
