What We Do

Town and Country Humane Society believes in giving every animal a chance. TCHS is a nonprofit, "no time limit" shelter serving eastern Nebraska and beyond. We rescue dogs and cats from high kill shelters and bring them to Omaha for placement in loving, forever homes. We take provide opportunities to volunteer to organizations, companies and individual. And we provide emergency boarding and food pantry to support our community during hardships. Your donated gifts from our wish list or financial support helps us provide a safe and caring living facility for pets in need until a loving home can be found.

Our growth has exploded as we have re-homed more animals than ever before! Last year, we rehomed 300 dogs, 297 cats and 144 critters.
Located near Papillion, Nebraska on three acres, TCHS operates with only four paid kennel employees and a dedicated network of 78 volunteers.
Because we have no time limits, the biggest part of our budget is veterinary care, which is why your support is so important.
