The Children’s Hospital & Medical Center Foundation was established in 1983 to support the hospital, raise awareness about our work, and manage and distribute funds to its premier pediatric services and programs. Every gift you make to Children’s — no matter how large or small — creates the possibility of a safer, healthier future for our children. Your support helps the hospital provide needed medical care and support for children and their families. At Children's Hospital & Medical Center, no child in need of medical care is ever turned away due to an inability to pay. Children's is a 225-bed nonprofit organization caring for children since 1948. It is the only full-service pediatric specialty health care center in Nebraska. OUR MISSION: To improve the life of every child - through dedication to exceptional clinical care, research, education and advocacy.
- We are home to Nebraska’s only Level IV regional Newborn Intensive Care Unit and the state’s only Level II Pediatric Trauma Center.
- Our regional heart center offers expertise in pediatric heart transplantation with over 30 heart transplants since 2013.
- Children’s is recognized as a 2020-21 Best Children’s Hospital by U.S. News & World Report in four pediatric specialties.
