What We Do
Boy Scouts of America is a youth serving organization that works alongside parents and schools to promote character development, citizenship, leadership, and valuable life skills. With positive adult mentors, encouragement to “do your best”, and one-of-a-kind outdoor programs, the Mid-America Council is helping more than 18,600 boys and girls through four value-driven programs offered locally.
Cub Scouting is a fun and educational program created for boys and girls in first through fifth grade. Besides providing a positive place where youth can enjoy safe, wholesome activities, Cub Scouting focuses on promoting education, developing character and building self-esteem.
Scouts BSA is an exciting leadership and character development program for young men and women ages 11-18. With the support of adult leaders, youth learn self-confidence and develop personal values guided by the ideals found in the Scout Oath and Law.
Venturing is a program for young men and women in high school and college designed to help them grow into responsible and caring adults through education and recreational experiences with an emphasis on high adventure and advanced leadership training.
Exploring is a dynamic worksite-based career education program for young men and women ages 14-20. With the support of business and the community, Explorers develop social and leadership skills while gaining real-world career experience.
