Sozo Coffeehouse and Great Adventure Ministries

Each Halloween, Great Adventure Ministries hosts a late night pancake feed in the Old Market as a service to the local community. There is a large concentration of bars in the Old Market area and many people, after a night of celebrating the holiday, make the choice to drive home drunk. Our free pancake feed provides a chance for people to sit down with a cup of coffee and plate of pancakes and bacon and sober up so that they are safe to make their way home. We have also served young adults who desire a fun downtown environment that is alcohol free for Halloween. For the past 9 years, Great Adventure Ministries has had the incredible opportunity to feed over 350 people at our location on 13th and Jones, using over 50 pounds of dry mix and 1,200 slices of bacon to feed the community. Each plate served is an opportunity to keep our community connected and protected.
