Event:
Train Rides, Tall Tails and Tailgates: A History of the Cornhusker Club Pullman Railcar, Featuring Cate Kratville-Wrinn

The Durham's Cornhusker Club Pullman railcar has served in various capacities throughout its 100-year history. Join train historian Cate Kratville-Wrinn and moderator Bob McCoy as they sort through the fascinating and sometimes murky history of one of the museum's most beloved artifacts.

From its early years as a Pullman observation car, rumors of its inclusion in President Truman's whistlestop tour and frequent trips to Lincoln for Nebraska football games, learn how the railcar came to the museum. The evening will include light hors d'oeuvres (while supplies last) and a cash bar, followed by the presentation.

  • 5-6:30PM: Social hour and exhibit exploration
  • 6:30PM: Presentation
  • Please note, the museum will close at 4PM and re-open at 5PM for the event
