Youth Emergency Services (YES) is excited to “Put a Spell on You”– for their 14th annual fundraiser Dance for a Chance.
This year’s event – titled Halloween Ball -- will be held Thursday, October 12, at the Omaha Design Center.
Like Dancing with the Stars, Dance for a Chance pairs up dancers with instructors, who then work together to create a dance, pick accompanying music and practice over the summer before competing in October.
At the same time, the dancers are working within their personal and professional networks – largely via social media – to raise awareness and money for Youth Emergency Services.
With this year’s theme being Halloween Ball, dancers, and instructors will wear costumes from and incorporate dance elements from Halloween and all things spooky in their performances. Attendees are invited to and encouraged to dress in Halloween attire as well.
