The South Omaha Neighborhood Alliance (SONA) is made up of community members who have served South Omaha for several decades. Its leadership and commitment have helped them to overcome challenges to continue implementing key priority community initiatives.
Join us on Thursday, June 1 st , at 5:30 p.m., at the Salvation Army Kroc Center located at 2825 Y Street. We look forward to seeing you for a night of community celebration with all our friends and neighbors.
SONA will be holding a special award and recognition ceremony to thank those who provided exceptional service over and above what normally might be expected to make sure progress and improvements continue in South Omaha. SONA has been hosting this event for 28 years. All proceeds raised will be directly reinvested into South Omaha neighborhoods through SONA’s mini-grant program which has helped neighborhood associations promote vibrant community spaces and hold notable events.
Neighborhood Associations and Human Service organizations are the heart of the Omaha Community. Through them, our community members are provided space to create programs, initiatives, and strategies that produce real change and progress in our communities.
