Endless Journey Hospice

Volunteers are friendly visitors to our patients in the Omaha area. Volunteers visit patients in their own homes, assisted living facilities, and nursing homes on a weekly or every other week basis. Sometimes this involves playing cards, writing letters, and telling stories. Other times it is simply playing music on a CD player, reading scripture and providing reassuring, gentle presence. Volunteers are provided with a free training and make a tremendous difference in the lives of others at this vulnerable time in their lives. Note: Visits can take place virtually anytime Sunday-Saturday, 9 AM to 7 PM. Some volunteers visit weekly and others go 1-2x month. We can work with most schedules - but we do ask that you be prepared to volunteer for at least one year.
