What We Do

Our vision is More Children. Prepared for School. Prepared for Life.

At the Nebraska Early Childhood Collaborative (NECC), we harness the potential of child care providers to deliver high quality early learning opportunities through access to business resources, innovative partnerships, and educational support.

We believe when child care providers are doing well, the communities and families they serve are better, and ultimately, the children in their care are doing the best.

Over the last 10 years, our Child Care Network has grown to over 1,400 provider members, making it one of the largest staffed child care networks in the country. Through the Child Care Network, providers have access to the no-cost resources and supports they need to give children the education they deserve. These resources span from exclusive professional development opportunities, licensure support, 1-on-1 mentorship, access to child care management software at no cost, and so much more.

We’re also proud to be an Early Head-Start-Child Care Partnership grantee that expands across nine programs, giving the metro area’s most vulnerable populations of children access to high-quality care, education, and health services. Our strategic initiative to elevate parent and provider voices can be seen through our Parent Ambassadors – a program created to develop parent and provider leaders and support them in advocating for their children, themselves, and their communities.

By supporting NECC, you’re supporting the ability for parents to go to work, for more child care businesses to flourish, and you’re helping more children access high-quality, affordable child care in their communities at a time when access to care is growing increasingly difficult to secure.

Interesting Info
  • All NECC services are offered at no cost to providers virtually and statewide, with a majority available in English and Spanish.
  • In 2024, we’re excited to present another Elevate Business Summit to child care providers across the state!
  • Our Resource Center offers access to meeting space, technology, printing services and is open to child care providers and parents of young children in Omaha.
