Work/Live in Intentional Community for a full-year

Full-time Volunteers live in community with other volunteers living simply and sustainably while working at placement sites with local non-profit organizations. This is a year-long service year program that runs from August-July. See www.lutheranvolunteercorps.org for complete information.

Lutheran Volunteer Corps manages this program and offers opportunities in other cities as well: Baltimore, Wilmington, Washington DC, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Chicago, and Milwaukee. Volunteers start their year in a National Orientation in Chicago then start their year of services in their respective cities. Volunteers live off of a small stipend and shared food budget, but have health insurance and housing provided. See the www.lutheranvolunteercorps.org for all of the details about this intensive program.
