Wisdom Wednesday: Domestic Violence 101: What You Need to Know to Support Youth

This Wisdom Wednesday presentation is an opportunity to learn more about domestic violence and how it affects youth. Whether youth are the victims in a teen dating relationship, or witness their parents in a domestic violence situation, abuse goes far beyond the physical impacts. During this presentation, we will discuss ways youth are impacted and how you can support them through intervention and prevention.

At the conclusion of this Zoom presentation, advocates will:
-Understand the behaviors and tactics used in domestic violence
-Recognize red flags that may indicate domestic violence is impacting a young person
-Know a variety of ways to support youth and help prevent domestic violence

Participants will receive 1 hour of continuing education credit.
