Volunteer Attorney (Direct Legal Assistance)

: Legal Aid of Nebraska (LAN) is dedicated to making equal justice happen by providing free, quality civil legal assistance to those living in poverty across the State.

If you are an attorney licensed to practice law in Nebraska who wants to help those with the greatest need for your skills and talent, we would love to talk to you. Volunteer attorneys are needed to provide civil legal assistance including advice and counsel, brief services and extended representation.

Simple divorce, protection orders, public education, bankruptcy/debtor issues, tenant issues including eviction defense, simple wills, durable powers of attorney are areas of need for Omaha’s low-income individuals, seniors and families.

Attorney must be licensed in Nebraska and have experience in the substantive area of law for which attorney wishes to provide legal assistance.
