Virtual Merit Badge Counselor

Mid-America Council is seeking skilled professionals and hobbyists to teach Merit Badges classes online for Scouts from across the country to learn. In response to COVID-10, Scouts are eagerly seeking online Scouting activities that will help them advance in rank. More Counselors means we can serve more Scouts (and avoid long wait lists for online classes). #SHARE@Home #ScoutingatHome

What are Merit Badges? Scouts can learn about sports, crafts, science, trades, business, and future careers as you earn merit badges. There are more than 135 merit badges, and any Scout, or any qualified Venturer or Sea Scout may earn any of these at any time.

Why are Merit Badges important? We know boys and girls have different interests. With 135 merit badges, Scouts can choose their own adventure. In the process, they will gain skills, self-confidence and discover interests that lead to future success.
