Time to Talk Week: May 10-16 (VIRTUAL event)

The Wellbeing Partners, the WhatMakeUs campaign to end mental health stigma, and our community partners encourage people to engage in conversations about our mental health and wellbeing

Half of people across Omaha and Council Bluffs have experienced a mental health condition; yet over 40% report they would hide this from friends and family.

Research shows that talking about living with mental health conditions and having supportive conversations foster connections between people with a mental health condition and those without. When these talks take place, people realize that mental health conditions are common across all walks of life

During Time to Talk Week, people from across the community commit to having conversations about mental health, whether it be at one’s school, workplace, neighborhood park, or around the dinner table - to help us see each other with more understanding and promote mental wellbeing.

Special thanks to the local officials who are proclaiming May 10-16 as Time to Talk Week: Mayor Walsh of Council Bluffs + more to come!
