Programs & Events Committee Volunteer

If you are looking for consistent volunteer opportunities and want to connect with a group of other volunteers who are passionate about sustainability in Omaha, join the Green Omaha Coalition Programs & Events Committee!

The Green Omaha Coalition (GOC), a nonprofit organization that promotes a greener Omaha through collaboration, education, and advocacy. We act as a resource to local government, businesses, educators, and citizens. We foster collaboration with key stakeholders in the community to accelerate the adoption of sustainable practices, policies, and programs. We also host fun and informative events that inspire the public to connect with other organizations that do sustainability work and live a more sustainable lifestyle.

Examples of the work the GOC programs committee does:
• Help plan GOC events like our Sustainability Rapid Roundtable, our annual film festival, and more
• Develop resources to help educate, connect, and promote the green community
• Assist with sustainability advocacy and awareness campaigns
• See a sustainability gap or need in our community? Create a new program with us to address it!
