Volunteer Opportunity:
Cat Foster Care Coordinator

This opportunity has passed.

This position is responsible for finding, training and supporting all our cat and/or kitten foster care homes. This would involve reviewing applications to foster, vetting the applicants, visiting their home, building a relationship with them, providing support and training for them during their fostering time. All cat foster applications would come to you. You would review them and go through our vetting process. If they passed, you would then visit their home and inspect it. You would counsel them on our expectations as a foster and ultimately make the decision as to their suitability. You would train the fosters on our foster care guidelines, how to match applicants with their foster, the adoption process and general animal care expected during the foster period. This is a critical coordination role that requires excellent communication skills and organizational ability. You would be responsible for monitoring the health and well being of the fostered animals and ensuring all medical entries are made in our database, Petstablished. The time commitment would be 5-10 hours a week. If it increased beyond that, we would look for another person to job share.
