What We Do
YFGG is participating for the first time in #DoGoodDays ! Our goal is to raise $2,000 for our summer art & mentoring and for the culture program to meet the needs of our growing organization. During the summer, youth are most at-risk due to all the idle time. YFGG aims to host weekly programming 3x a week to provide a positive outlet for the youth we serve. Your donation ensures we are able to serve the max amount of students possible and keep our youth off the streets. NEEDS: -transportation - gas - meals/snacks - program materials —————————————————————— Youth for Greater Good was founded to serve the youth of refugee and immigrant communities that heavily populate Omaha. We have an emphasis on supporting the future of South Sudanese youth through academic support, mentoring, and cultural awareness. Through our free, yearly, and strategic programming and community outreach events we aim to provide a positive option to youth with limited resources and promote educational advancement, community & youth engagement, and sustainability. Mission: "Shaping the future of South Sudanese youth through academic support, mentoring, and cultural awareness." Slogan: "Bridging the gap, empowering the youth, building the future." Values: Community - Leadership - Creativity - Education - integrity Vision: To change the trajectory of where generations before us have headed and create a sustainable community with productive inter-generational and inter-communal relationship that benefit the upbringing of the youth in our community.
