What We Do
Pottawattamie County Trails Association creates unique, well-connected and safe trail networks in Pottawattamie County that will provide recreational access to all residents and visitors.
We are a part of Frontier Iowa Trails (FIT), which is a regional network of multi-use trails advocates. Our mission is to connect all municipalities in Pottawattamie County through a safe trail network.
Funds contributed go towards creating an endowment for long-term trail maintenance.
Interesting Info
Our goal is a trail network that interconnects all cities in Pottawattamie County and provides access points for adjoining counties and states.
We're currently raising funds for the trail connection underway from Weston to Neola.
To date, we have constructed 10 miles of trail from Smith Wildlife Area north and will complete the connection to Weston by the end of 2019.
