What We Do
At Mater Filius we Build Lives Up! We provide continuous care and support for moms, babies and children up to the age of 5 at no cost. Our goal is for the women we serve to feel safe, empowered, supported, and nurtured. We are not just a maternity home, we support our moms long after they move out. Women receive housing, education, counseling, parenting classes, transportation, emotional and spiritual support, access to our BLU*tique, and child programming. We help women find a path toward independence.
Interesting Info
- We believe in keeping families together! Since opening in 2014, we have served almost 150 women, 115 children and 49 babies have been born here.
- Our Early Childhood Learning Center is open 8am-5:30pm while our mothers are at work, school or workshops.
- We provide everything the moms and children need in the house. Nutritious meals, counseling, transportation, and help finding jobs and housing.
