What We Do

The Great Plains Wing of the Commemorative Air Force educates and inspires through flight, and honors the thousands of men and women who built, serviced and flew combat aircraft of WWII.

We have two historic WWII airplanes that are usually on display undergoing maintenance during fall and winter, and a museum of over 1,200 WWII artifacts of American, German, British and Japanese heritage.

Interesting Info

We host many educational tours for schools and other local organizations and our two airplanes are kept busy all summer performing at air shows.
The CAF has a fleet of 170 WWII aircraft. Most are still flying, on display, and available for rides at air shows all over the country.
The Great Plains Wing hopes to acquire and offer rides in an early WWII open cockpit trainer aircraft.
