What We Do

Food Bank for the Heartland distributes food through 555 Network Partners, including pantries, schools, churches, emergency shelters and other non-profit organizations to ensure consistent access to nutritious food in 93 counties across Nebraska and western Iowa. 1 in 11 people in Nebraska and western Iowa are considered food insecure — with 1 in 9 being children. The Food Bank is committed to breaking the vicious cycle of food insecurity and is grateful for the support of our community.

Hosting a food drive is a fun and meaningful way for schools, civic groups, offices, places of worship, and neighborhoods to support our mission.
