What We Do

ENCAP's mission is to reduce the power of poverty in Eastern Nebraska through direct service and results-driven partnerships. We work to help stabilize individuals and families so that they can move forward with their lives. ENCAP's services include but are not limited to: emergency rent and utility assistance; hunger relief through the Bellevue Food Pantry; hunger relief and enrichment services for vulnerable seniors; family wellbeing services through Community Response; and transportation services to ensure that homeless and ESL/migrant students of OPS have a safe and reliable ride to school each day.

Interesting Info

ENCAP was born out of the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964.
Last year ENCAP provided more than 21,000 services to nearly 12,000 individuals.
Our goal is to reduce the power of poverty in our community.
